Control when customers can book

Booking rules decide which start times, durations and dates your online store offers. Set them under Online Store → Settings → Booking, then choose Save changes.

These rules apply to all products in your online store.

Choose a scheduling option

Option	How bookings start	Good for
Fixed start time	Always at the same time of day. You set Always starts at.	Daily and multi-day rentals with one handover time
Same-day bookings	Within the hours you allow, set with Earliest start and Latest start. No overnight bookings.	Hourly rentals that come back the same day
Opening hours	At any 15-minute interval within your opening hours for that day.	Larger stock, where the time of day does not matter

Opening hours

With the Opening hours option, set Opens and Closes for each weekday. Switch a day off to mark it Closed.

Timeslot duration

The timeslot is the shortest period a customer can book, for example one hour or one day. Longer bookings are made of several timeslots.

Products with the Timeslot pricing model are charged per timeslot. See Set prices, pricing rules and deposits.

Buffer between bookings

A buffer keeps an item unavailable for a while after it comes back, for cleaning, maintenance or late returns.

For bookings that span several timeslots, the buffer is taken from the final timeslot only.

Lead time

Lead time is how far in advance customers must book. With a Minimum lead time of two hours, the earliest slot a customer can pick starts two hours from now.

Close for holidays with away mode

Away mode blocks pickups and returns on dates when you are closed.

Go to Online Store → Settings → Away mode.
Tick Enable away mode.
Choose Add dates and set when the period starts and ends. Tick All-day for whole days.
Use Repeat for closures that come back weekly, monthly or every year, such as public holidays.

Customers cannot choose a pickup or return time inside a blocked period.

Remove the dates, or untick Enable away mode, to open up again.
