Set prices, pricing rules and deposits
Every inventory item and service has its own price. You set it on the item’s Store tab.
Choose a pricing model
- Open the inventory item or service and go to the Store tab.
- Under Pricing model, choose a model.
- Enter the Price.
| Model | How the price is calculated |
|---|---|
| Fixed | One price for the booking, however long it lasts. |
| Timeslot | The price is charged for each timeslot in the booking period. |
The length of a timeslot is the same for your whole store. You set it under Online Store → Settings → Booking. See Control when customers can book.
Pricing rules and priority
Pricing rules set a different price for bookings that start at certain times, for example weekends or high season.
- On the Store tab, find Pricing rules and choose Create a rule.
- Enter the Price.
- Set when the rule applies: start, end, and whether it repeats.
- Set the Priority.
If two rules cover the same time, the one with the highest priority applies. Lower numbers mean higher priority, so priority 1 beats priority 2. Use Move up and Move down to reorder rules.
When no rule matches, the base price is used.
Price variants separately
If customers can choose the variant themselves, each variant needs its own price.
- On the Store tab, turn on Selectable under Variant selection.
- Under Variant pricing, open the tab for each variant and set its pricing model, price and rules.
Deposits
Rental items can have a deposit.
- Open the inventory item and go to the Store tab.
- Enter the amount under Deposit.
The deposit is per unit, and sales items and services do not have deposits. See Take security deposits for how deposits work on bookings.
Change the price on one booking
You can override the price on a single booking without changing the product. See Create and edit bookings.
