Set up services

Services are things you provide by time rather than physical stock, such as a guided tour, an installation or a lesson.

Add a service

1. Go to Services and choose Add service.
2. Enter a name and a description. Both are shown in the online store when the service is public.
3. Save. The service opens with three tabs: Store, Translations and Settings.

On the Store tab you set the visibility, availability, price, cross-sells and photos. Tick Public when the service is ready for customers to see.

Units of measure

On the Settings tab, choose the unit of measure, for example hour or session. It is shown next to quantities on bookings.

You manage the list of units under Settings → General → Units of measure.

Choose an availability method

Kuuply needs to know when a service is fully booked. On the Store tab, choose one of two methods under Availability method.

Max. concurrent bookings

Set how many bookings of this service can run at the same time. If you have two guides, enter 2. A third booking for the same time is refused.

Use this when the limit is people or time, not equipment.

Service recipe

List the inventory items needed to deliver the service. The service is available only while all of them are in stock.

1. Choose Service recipe as the availability method.
2. Choose Add recipe item.
3. Pick the Inventory item, the Suitable variants and the Required quantity.

Use this when the service uses up equipment. If two services share the same inventory item, booking one reduces what is left for the other.
